I purchased a ring from Agape Diamonds a few years ago, believing I was buying a lab-grown diamond based on how their website and branding were presented at the time.
In March 2026, I reached out to the company directly to raise concerns that their previous website domain, diamondslabcreated.com, could reasonably lead consumers to believe they were purchasing lab-grown diamonds. The use of lab created in the domain name, combined with product descriptions using the word diamond, made it unclear that the stones may actually be simulants rather than true lab-grown diamonds.
Shortly after I raised this concern, I noticed that the company changed their domain to agapediamonds.com, removing the lab created language altogether.
To me, this reinforces the concern that the original branding and domain name could be misleading to consumers.
Additionally, the value of the product has been extremely disappointing.
I paid around $3,000 for this ring, and after attempting to resell it, I found it has little to no resale valuereceiving offers under $100. That is a significant difference and not something I would have expected when making a purchase at that price point.
Had the nature of the stone and its actual market value been clearly explained upfront, I would not have made this purchase.
When I contacted customer service, I did not feel my concerns were taken seriously, and the response felt dismissive.
Im sharing my experience so others can carefully review the details of what is being sold and make a fully informed decision.

Verified Reviewer |I was under the impression that I was getting real diamonds only to find out that after it shipped that I was getting a fake! I had to look on my order after it shipped to see the word(simulated)
I dont feel that they are clearly advertising that theyre selling cubic zirconias as real. Also that on sale I was charged 1100 dollars for a fake.
When i reached out I was told that I could pay extra for an upgrade. When I thought about it, I realized how underhanded this company is.
I dont feel that I should have to pay shipping either! Im taking this to consumer protection.

Please note that all of our jewelry is made to order, and it typically takes 5-7 business days to manufacture before it is shipped. The shipping method you selected at checkout will determine the transit time once your order leaves our facility.
We understand that you initially requested a cancellation, followed by an email to proceed with shipping, and then another cancellation request the following day. Resolved: Inability to contact anyone at their toll-free number and desire to return /exchange a purchase
Refund and exchange for similar product at similar price.
The complaint did get forwarded to Agape and they have been back in regular communication online only . Perhaps they are cutting back on hiring costs as the result of a financial re-structuring , but they have been in good communication via Email and are acting willing to work with me on the return / exchange .

I am aware that these are man made diamonds but under the impression that they could test for diamonds of tested. I had them clean and tested and came back as glass. Can you explain to me why they didnt test as Diamonds?
